Day 1Welcome to our Island

Greeting at the airport by a representative of CubaInside.us

Transfer to your Casa Particular and check in.

Welcome and Orientation lunch or dinner at a local Paladar (depending on the arrival time)

Your first chance to try the nice taste of our Cuban food.

After dinner you will have the night free to rest from your trip and get ready for the activities to come

Day 2

Havana City, surrounded by the Harbor of Havana or Port of Carenas; named like this by the Spanish conqueror Sebastian Ocampo in 1509, is located in the northern coast of the western region of Cuba and it is extended over 740 km2. The population is compound by 2 million inhabitants approximately. It is characterized by plain lands and small hills. Besides, it is the Capital of Cuba so there is a high level of urbanization and the endemic vegetation does not represent a significant contrast.

Walking tour in the Historical Center of the City Old Havana
Inwalls Havana or Old Havana is the most ancient area in the city. The village of San Cristobal de La Habana, founded in 1514, from the XVII century until mid of XIX was surrounded by a wall as a protection from the attacks of the corsairs and pirates. Inside this zone of 4 km2 we can find the group of buildings that constitute one of the treasures of Cuba and Latin America. It has 88 monuments of great historical value, 86 monuments of environmental value and 178 harmonic edifications keeping like this the most representative architectural and urban collection from the colonial period. This is the reason why the city was proclaimed as a Cultural Heritage of the Humanity by the UNESCO in December in 1982.

Canyon shooting ceremony at 9 pm.
Acclimatized upon the XVIII century it consists in a canyon shoot right at 21 hours local time from San Carlos de La Cabana fortress that, together with the Castle of Los Tres Reyes del Morro, stands by the entrance of the city and the main harbor of the Island. In times of the colony it marked the “toque de queda, time for the Wall of the city to be closed and no one could enter or leave from the Village of San Cristobal de La Habana.

Day 3Ciénaga de Zapata-Cienfuegos

Depart to Cienfuegos (aprox. 4.5 hrs drive)

First stop in Bay of Pigs and Ciénaga de Zapata.
Scenery of one of the most important historical and military events of the beginnings of the Cuban Revolution, Playa Giron or Bay of Pigs, as it is known as well, is a place of obligatory visit at the South Peninsula in the province of Matanzas.

Ciénaga de Zapata National Park
Located on the southern coast of the western province Matanzas, it is the Caribbean largest wetland ecosystem due to its great variety of Birds, Reptiles, Fish and forest that inhabit together in the same place. Cienaga de Zapata, considered as a Biosphere Reservation, is certainly one of the places in the island with the biggest biodiversity, beauty and undoubted historical and natural values.

Day 4Cienfuegos

Province of Cuba located in the central-south region. The city with the same name and capital of province is known as The South Pearl or the Beautiful City of the Sea. It keeps its main attractive in the historical center with different buildings that conserve the traditional environment and its values due to the fact that it has been possible to combine modernity and tradition identifying it within the best preserved cities from XIX century. This reason gave it the condition of World Heritage in 2005.

Walking tour in the Historical Center of Cienfuegos.
Founded on April 22nd in 1819 by French colonists, Cienfuegos preserves the neoclassical attributes in the urban center, within modernity. Previously known as Fernandina de Jagua , it got the title of village in 1929 and city in 1880, taking into account the increase of its population, and the constant development of its industrial and agricultural richness as well as the importance of its harbor. Since July 2005, the Historical Center in Cienfuegos was inscribed on the list of places declared as World Heritage. This universal distinction rewards the wonderful preservation and unique architecture of this area.

The village of La Santísima Trinidad was founded by Diego Velazquez. It was the third village founded by the Spanish Crown. It is located in the central region of Cuba, in the province of Sancti Spiritus. Trinida is considered one of the best preserved colonial cities, not only in Cuba, but also in Latin America. For this reason it was inscribed by the UNESCO in the list of World Heritage in 1988.

Visit to El valle de los Ingenios.
Located between the mountains and the sea, it is a real monument to the Cuban sugar industry. It has a group of very well preserved architectural and archeological monuments turning it into an eco-cultural system where the visitors can enjoy the interaction between monuments, nature and society. For this reason it constitutes and object of great artistic value.

Day 6 Bayamo

Bayamo is the second village founded in Cuba. It is the main municipality in the province of Granma. It is also one of the most important historical cities and this is why it is considered as The Cradle of Cuban Nationality where it was song for the first time the National Anthem of Cuba. Its historical urban center was declared as a National Monument on October 10th in 1978.

Day 7 Desembarco del Granma National Park-Santiago de Cuba

Visit to Desembarco del Granma National Park.
It is a natural area located at the southeastern coast of Cuba in the province of Granma. Named after the yacht where Fidel Castro together with 82 men sailed from Mexico to Cuba in 1956 to begin the last stage of the revolutionary fight. It was declared as a National Monument in 2002 and as a World Heritage in 1999.

This is the second most populated province in Cuba, only preceded by the Capital, Havana. It is located to the southeastern part of the island and it has an extension of 6 thousand 170 km2, including the keys. Its main municipality is one of the first seven villages founded by Diego Velázquez in the first moments of the Spanish conquest and colonization of Cuba. The urban historical center was declared as a National Monument on October 10th in 1978.

The Historical Center in Stgo. de Cuba is located in the middle of the city and it has an extension of 320 hectares. In this space you can find domestic, civilian and religious buildings from the colonial period between 1515-1898 and the republican period between 1898-1958. It is characterized by its historical and artistic values, which give it the category of National Monument.
